Chocolate. Cinnamon. Caramel. The flavor combo in these cookies is always a fantastic and delicious surprise!
Ingredients
1 bag dry sugar cookie mix (NOT the tube of dough!)
8 oz. of unsweetened chocolate
1/3 cup of unsalted butter, softened
1 3/4 tsp cinnamon
14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk (DO NOT SUBSTITUTE with evaporated milk)
1 bag of chocolate and caramel candies
Tools
Cutting board
Butter knife
Large heatsafe mixing bowl
Mixing spoon or rubber spatula
Measuring cups and spoons
Spatula
Cookie sheets
Parchment paper or cooking spray
Impromptu double boiler
Prep Tips
While watching TV or chatting with a friend, unwrap the candies and place in a bowl. Pop them into the fridge to chill before getting ready to bake! This will help the candies from melting too fast when put on the cookies!
Step-by-Step
Preheat the oven to 350F and prep cookie sheets (either with parchment paper or spray).
Roughly chop the unsweetened chocolate and cut butter into squares.
Using your impromptu double boiler, melt the chocolate and butter, stirring occassionally to ensure all chocolate melts. Remove bowl from double boiler once chocolate is melted.
Stir the condensed milk into the chocolate mixture.
Then, stir in the cookie mix and cinnamon until well combined.
Use a tablespoon to form each cookie and drop onto lined or greased baking sheets.
Bake 6 to 7 minutes (edges will be shiny!), and remove from the oven.
Immediately press 1 candy into the center of each cookie.
Cool on sheets for about 5 minutes, then enjoy!!!
